Dance With Me
Dancers and their grown-ups can wear anything comfortable to move in! Many little ones like to wear leotards, skirts, or leggings, but it is not required. Grown-ups should also dress in something easy to move in. Ballet shoes are welcome for the dancers, but bare feet is just fine, too.
OTHER POLICIES
Tuition
Tuition is divided into 9 installments that are automatically withdrawn on the first of each month, or at the start of a 5 or 6-week session. Tuition will be automatically withdrawn from your account unless a written notice of withdrawal is received. Students will be responsible for any unpaid tuition, fees, or costume fees due up to when the written notice is received. Tuition will not be prorated for any reason. Any tuition 15 days late will be automatically charged to the credit card on file for the account. Any balances past due by 45 days will be sent for legal collection. All legal fees associated with this collection or a bounced check, in addition to the outstanding amount, are the responsibility of the account holder.
Refunds
There are no refunds for tuition, shoes, dancewear, tights or costumes. Tuition is not prorated. Unworn shoes purchased in the studio may be exchanged for the proper size. Registration fees are non-refundable.
Recital
Recital is an optional, yet encouraged opportunity for all students. A recital commitment will be signed in the fall, and costume balances will be paid in full before the start of the new year.
Snow Days
During the winter, we are bound to experience some inclement weather. We will assess the weather and will determine what is safest for our staff and students. In the case of a snow day, we will post on each of the studio’s social media sites, as well as all of the local news stations. Zoom classes or in-person Makeup days will be made available for classes that experience 2 or more snow days.
Makeup Classes
If a student has to miss a class, they are welcome to come to any class below or at the same level as the one they have missed. Please contact the studio to schedule.
Class Placement
Students will be placed in classes under the Instructor and Studio Director’s discretion. We will supply each student with a class recommendation paper to make the registration process easier. Please understand that there are many factors that go into placement and we will be happy to meet and discuss any questions or concerns you may have.
Communication
There will be handouts and emails sent home throughout the year. Please read through them fully! We want to keep the lines of communication open, so everyone is up to date on important information. Emails will be sent to all address listed in the student's GoMotion account.
Pandemic Closure
In the result of a COVID-19 related closure, we will offer virtual classes through Zoom. We may make adjustments to our schedule, but will be in communication with our dance families before doing so. All classes will be recorded and can be downloaded and watched at a later time, and a tuition break will be assessed at the time of closure.

RULES
-At ADA, we hold all students accountable for their behavior and commitment to the studio. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate any registration should the student not meet with our expectations.
-Students and families are expected to respect the studio and its tidiness. Please be responsible for your own water bottles, candy wrappers, diapers, food and trash.
-No street shoes, gum, food or drink is allowed in the dance space at any time.
-No student should leave the building without permission.
-Please be courteous of the classes that are meeting before and after you and respect other dancers' personal property.
-Please remember that excessive absences are a distraction to the entire class as they attempt to learn choreography around missing students. If your child is ill or injured but able to at least come watch the class, it will minimize the disruption. If you are unable to make it to class, please notify the Instructor by leaving a message at the studio.
-Have a mutual respect for your teacher, your peers, and the studio.
-Always wear proper dance attire. No jeans or street shoes!
-Dance shoes are to be worn inside, and street shoes are to be worn outside. Not vice-versa!
-No gum chewing: Gum damages the floors and is hard to remove.
-Show up on time.
-Leave the outside world at the door. If you’re having an unusually rough day, pour your emotions into your movement.
-Take criticism and learn from others’ corrections
-Give 110% effort and remember to take risks!!
-Have a positive attitude and remember a smile goes a long way!!! ☺
